Who takes what
Yard waste is the most inconsistent thing we deal with, because every city treats it differently and the differences are not intuitive.
Stuart is strictest: city-run collection, weekly, nothing over four feet high or four feet across, palm fronds exempt from the diameter rule, and cans, paper bags or cardboard only - plastic bags are not collected. Fort Pierce collects weekly but ordinance 16-27:5 leaves landscaper-generated debris with the property owner. Port St. Lucie folds yard waste into the monthly two cubic yard bulk allowance.
The rule that catches most people is the trade waste one. If a crew cut it, the city generally will not take it, no matter how neatly it is stacked. That pile is the single most common reason we get called for yard work.
The heavy stuff is priced differently
Furniture, grills, umbrellas, planters, screen panels, dock gear and green waste all ride at the normal load price - they are bulky rather than heavy, and bulk is what the truck is measured in.
Dense material is the exception. Concrete pavers, block, brick, roof tile, dirt and rock weigh far more per cubic foot than anything else in a yard, and disposal is charged by weight rather than volume. That portion gets quoted separately so the number is right up front rather than renegotiated on the day.
If you are pulling a paver patio or a fire pit, send a photo with something for scale. It is the one job where a picture changes the price materially.

Your price is based on how much space your junk takes up in the truck — measured on site, agreed before we lift a thing. For scale, Wetland Junk Removal counts a cubic yard as about one front-load washer — so a full truck is roughly fifteen of them.

A full load is about 15 cubic yards — roughly six pickup truck loads. Single-item pickups start at $150. Price includes labor, loading, hauling, and disposal fees. Heavy materials (concrete, dirt, roofing) quoted separately — just send photos.

Will you take the yard waste my city will not collect?
That is most of why people call. Curbside yard waste programs cap size, cap volume, and in several of our cities will not touch anything a landscaper generated. Stuart alone limits yard trash to four feet in any direction and bans plastic bags. If your pile broke one of those rules, it is not getting collected, and that is the pile we are built for.
Can you get into a fenced or gated backyard?
Yes, as long as we can get a gate open. Tell us the gate width and whether there is a lock or a code when you send photos — that is the one detail that decides whether a job takes an hour or an afternoon. Screened lanais and pool cages are no problem either; we hand-carry out through whatever opening there is.
Do you take the pavers, fire pit and planters too?
Yes, with one caveat. Furniture, grills, umbrellas, planters, dock gear and green waste all ride at the normal load price. Dense material — concrete pavers, block, dirt, roof tile — gets weighed differently because it is heavy for its size, so that part gets quoted separately. Send a photo and it will be in the number up front.
Will the patio be usable when you leave?
Yes. We sweep the pad or lanai once it is clear, so you are not left with the ring of dirt and leaves that was under everything. If you are clearing to re-do the space, say so and we will get it down to bare surface rather than just hauling the big pieces.
