What the county sweep takes, and what it leaves you
The split that decides who you call
After a declared event the county runs debris sweeps, and they are free. What they generally collect is vegetative debris - limbs, fronds, trunks, the green material a storm strips off. If that is what is on your swale and you can wait for the pass, wait. It costs you nothing.
What the sweeps typically will not take is the household side: soaked mattresses and furniture, ruined drywall and insulation, fence panels and hardware, screen enclosure frames, damaged appliances. That material sits until somebody hauls it.
So the honest split is simple. Green waste can usually wait for the sweep. Wet, broken household material usually cannot, because it is going to smell and grow mold in a Florida August while you wait for a truck that may not take it anyway.
Photograph it before it goes
If any of this is going on an insurance claim, get pictures before it leaves the property - wide shots showing the damage in context, then closer ones of the individual items. Once it is on a truck it stops being evidence.
We will shoot photos of the material before and after loading and give you an itemized receipt of what was hauled, which is usually what a carrier wants as proof of removal and date. Ask for it when you book so it is part of the job rather than a favor afterwards.
What we cannot do is tell you what your policy covers, negotiate with an adjuster, or advise on a claim. We are haulers. For anything about coverage, talk to your carrier or a licensed public adjuster before you throw material away.

Your price is based on how much space your junk takes up in the truck — measured on site, agreed before we lift a thing. For scale, Wetland Junk Removal counts a cubic yard as about one front-load washer — so a full truck is roughly fifteen of them.

A full load is about 15 cubic yards — roughly six pickup truck loads. Single-item pickups start at $150. Price includes labor, loading, hauling, and disposal fees. Heavy materials (concrete, dirt, roofing) quoted separately — just send photos.

Storm cleanup questions
How fast can you come after a storm?
As fast as the roads allow. Normal turnaround is 1 to 2 business days and often same day, but the week after a named storm is not normal — everyone calls at once and debris is blocking streets. Call early rather than waiting for the pile to be complete; getting on the list is the part that matters.
Do you take tree limbs and fence sections?
Yes. Downed limbs, palm fronds, broken fence panels and sections of screen enclosure are standard storm work. Whole trunks and large root balls are heavy enough to be priced separately, so send a photo of anything big and it will be in the quote up front.
Should I wait for the county debris sweep instead?
If your debris fits what the sweep takes and you can wait, wait — it is free. The sweeps run on their own schedule after a declared event and they generally take vegetative debris, not your ruined furniture, soaked drywall or fence hardware. That is the split: green waste can often wait, damaged household material usually cannot.
Can you document the job for my insurance claim?
We can send photos of the material before and after it is loaded, and give you an itemised receipt for what was hauled. We are not adjusters and we cannot tell you what your policy covers — but if your carrier wants proof of what was removed and when, ask for it and we will get it to you.
