These jobs are not the same as a garage cleanout and we don't treat them like one. We work room by room, sort as we go instead of shovelling, and go at a pace the person living there can actually handle.

How a hoarder cleanout works here
Almost every one of these calls comes from somebody other than the person who lives there — an adult child out of state, a landlord, a social worker, a family member who finally got the door opened. That shapes the job more than the volume does.
So we start with a walkthrough and a plan, not a truck. Which rooms, in what order, what's coming out and what absolutely isn't. Then we work to that list. If someone needs to stop for the day, we stop for the day.
We sort rather than shovel. Cash in coat pockets, deeds in a shoebox, photos in a drawer under six inches of mail — that's a normal find, not a rare one. Anything that looks like it matters gets set aside for you to look at, not binned.

Where our line is
We're a junk removal crew, not a biohazard remediation company, and the difference matters.
Surface grime, clutter, spoiled food, general filth — that's us. Standing sewage, heavy animal waste, mold growing through drywall, needles, or anything that needs containment and air scrubbing is a licensed remediation contractor's job.
If we walk in and find that, we'll tell you plainly and point you toward the right kind of company rather than taking your money and doing half a job.
Why the heat matters here
A closed-up Treasure Coast house in July is genuinely dangerous to work in. No AC, high humidity, and rooms packed to the ceiling means no airflow.
For summer jobs we start at first light and plan shorter days. If the power's been off for a while, say so when you call — that changes what we bring and how we schedule.
It also changes what's salvageable. Paper, fabric and upholstery in an unconditioned Florida house go to mildew fast.

Why curbside isn't an option
Port St. Lucie's monthly bulk pickup caps out at two cubic yards, which the city measures as about one washing machine per yard.
A hoarding cleanout is measured in truckloads, not cubic yards. Trying to stage it at the curb over successive months usually earns a code complaint before it earns an empty house.
Everything we take goes straight to the county facility on Glades Cut-Off Road, in one trip or several, not to your curb.
If a sale or a deadline is driving it
Realtors, landlords and estate representatives call us for these fairly often, usually with a closing date or an inspection attached.
Tell us the deadline on the first call. It changes the crew size and the schedule, and it's better to say early that a date is tight than to find out on day two.

Your price is based on how much space your junk takes up in the truck — measured on site, agreed before we lift a thing. For scale, Wetland Junk Removal counts a cubic yard as about one front-load washer — so a full truck is roughly fifteen of them.

A full load is about 15 cubic yards — roughly six pickup truck loads. These are quoted after a walkthrough, not over the phone — volume varies too much for anything else to be honest. Most run multiple full loads, and multi-day jobs are normal. Price includes labor, sorting, hauling, and disposal fees.

Is this discreet? I do not want the neighbors watching.
Yes. Unmarked pickup at the curb where we can, loading through a garage or side door rather than the front, and no conversation with anyone but you. We have done enough of these to know the embarrassment is the hardest part of the call, and nobody on our crew is going to make a face or a comment about what is in the house.
Can we go slowly, over more than one visit?
Yes, and for a lot of these that works better. One room at a time over several visits is completely normal, and stopping partway through a day is fine too. There is no requirement to finish in one go, and nothing gets loaded that you have not agreed to.
What if there is cash or paperwork buried in there?
It gets set aside, not loaded. Deeds, photographs, tax records and cash turn up in these jobs more often than you would think. Tell us what to watch for before we start, and anything we find in that category goes to you rather than on the truck. If you would rather open the boxes yourself, we will stack them for you instead.
I am arranging this for a parent. Can I handle it remotely?
Yes. We can work with you by phone and photos while a family member or care worker lets us in, and settle up by card without you being in the room. For a job this personal we do want one clear decision-maker so the crew is not caught between two people wanting different things.
