What moves the price off $150
The $150 floor covers a normal single item: a couch, a recliner, a dresser, a fridge, a washer, a mattress and frame. It includes the labor, the loading, the drive and the disposal fee - there is no separate dump charge added afterwards.
What pushes it up is weight and awkwardness rather than the object itself. A treadmill or a home gym coming down a flight of stairs, a gun safe, an upright piano, a chest freezer that has to be emptied first, or a sleeper sofa that needs the frame cut to clear a doorway. Those are still routine work, they just take more hands and more time.
Stairs on their own do not add anything. A third-floor condo and a ground-floor garage cost the same for the same piece, because the price follows the space it takes in the truck. Tell us about the stairs anyway so we arrive with the right number of people.
When you should not call us
If it is one item, it fits your city's bulk rules, and you can wait for the next collection day, put it at the curb. That service is already paid for through your taxes or your hauler bill and there is no reason to hand us $150 for it.
Port St. Lucie takes two cubic yards a month, which is roughly two washers' worth. Fort Pierce runs weekly. Jensen Beach, Palm City and Hobe Sound get about ten cubic yards a week through Waste Management at (772) 546-7700.
Where we earn it is the exceptions: the item is inside and nobody can carry it out, the collection date is weeks away and the house is closing, a landscaper or contractor generated it so the city will not take it, or an association will not tolerate it sitting at the curb in the meantime.

Your price is based on how much space your junk takes up in the truck — measured on site, agreed before we lift a thing. For scale, Wetland Junk Removal counts a cubic yard as about one front-load washer — so a full truck is roughly fifteen of them.

Is it really $150 for one item, whatever it is?
$150 is the floor for a single item, and it covers the labor, the loading, the haul and the dump fee. What moves it up is weight or awkwardness rather than the item itself: a treadmill down a flight of stairs, a safe, a piano. If you are not sure which side of the line yours falls on, send a photo and you will get the actual number before anyone shows up.
How fast can you get one item out of here?
Usually 1 to 2 business days, and often the same day if you catch us before the truck is loaded up. One-item jobs are the easiest thing to slot into a route, so if you have a deadline like a delivery arriving or a closing, say so when you send photos and we will tell you straight whether we can hit it.
Does it have to be at the curb, or will you come get it?
We come get it. Living room, upstairs bedroom, back patio, garage corner — that is the job. Curbside is fine too if you have already dragged it out, but you do not have to. Stairs and long carries do not change the price; the price is set by how much room it takes up in the truck.
Do I need to be home for a single item?
Only if it is inside the house. If it is in an open garage, on the patio, or at the curb, tell us where it is and we can grab it while you are at work. Either way you get an on-my-way text before we arrive, and you can call and move it any time.
